JY-HS-01 is a compound microbial culture applied to black-odour water bodies - urban channels, ponds and receiving waters - where sulphide produced by anaerobic decomposition of accumulated sediment is the main odour source. It works by restoring aerobic conditions at the water and sediment interface, so sulphide generation is suppressed instead of masked. Unlike chemical dosing it does not add to the sludge load of the water body.
Applications
- Urban black-odour channels, ponds and receiving waters
- Abattoir, food-processing and livestock discharge points
- Decentralised rural wastewater treatment units
- Long-term odour control during dredging and construction work
Scientific basis
The mechanism described for this product is covered in peer-reviewed literature we reference: Eutrophication control in urban landscape lakes (Water Environment Research) (DOI: 10.1002/wer.10906). This is a research reference, not a product performance claim. See our Research summaries for the full context.
